Tutor Profile #4

It’s Friday! You know what that means… It’s time for our Tutor Profile Blog!

The sun is shining, birds are chirping and students are studying.

This week we are featuring Marco.

Marco is a first-year University student studying a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) at Macquarie University! Marco’s passion lies within education and helping others as a tutor. Marco is a big believer that the development with learning is a unique way for the student to become more confident with their subject, as well as confidence in general.

Lets get into it!

Educational background & subject specialisations:
Subjects I can teach are Primary Maths & English, Year 7-10 Maths & English, Year 11-12 General Maths & Standard English, Legal Studies and Business Studies.
I completed my HSC in 2017, however I wasn’t sure where my passion was. I studied a year at the University of Newcastle Newstep program, where I quickly found a passion for the business sector.

What do you most love about your work as a tutor?
I find working as a tutor a rewarding experience; The one-on-one contact time really separates that of a classroom in terms of learning, as well as progresses my own.

Special skills:
I enjoy sport, particularly Soccer and Futsal. I have played for most of my life! I have represented my school in both sports.
I mostly enjoy reading books, usually 2 at a time, as I feel it helps my internal development in becoming a better person. Plus its fun! (At least to me)

Advice for students:
If I have any advice for students, it’s that you need to be more confident! Understand everyone learns differently, so I would be honoured if you let me help you.

Thank you for reading this weeks Tutor Profile Blog #4!

Have a great weekend from all of us here at Student Tutors.
