My name is Shafi Ahmed. I am doing Bachelor Degree in Medical Sciences and Bioinformatics at Macquarie University. I am currently in the last year of my degree. I like to travel and explore a lot like my father. In my leisure time I keep myself busy with sports like soccer, volleyball, basketball, or tennis or do gardening. I am also fond of cooking and been professionally trained. From my childhood I grew up and been taught to live life in a well- disciplined manner. During holidays, I visit my relatives and travel new places. I am a huge fan of cells and genes. From my year 09 I started helping my friends in subjects like biology to understand and go through it. From then I thought of helping students with subjects in ways that is easier for them to grasp the idea of topics. I always try to find best possible ways and new ways for understanding any topic or solving any problem. Currently, I am helping students with science subjects and maths in a quicker way and preparing for Olympiads and helping in school projects. From my very childhood I was more fascinated towards biology subject. I had the interest of working in the biology laboratory to find the potentiality of organisms from big to tiny and how they can change the ecological balance of the world. I am studying Bachelor of Medical Sciences, majoring in Genetics and Bioinformatics at Macquarie University. This degree will help me to direct my career in the research field of medical industry from trying to understand the mechanisms of living organisms especially genes to aligning its role in advancing medical industry to identify and cure diseases which were not recognized long before. From this degree and working in this field I hope to understand and bring changes to make human lives simpler way with the help of genes and help resolve genetic diseases which once thought uncurbable.
