Student Tutors

Hello there! My name is Marco. I am a 20-year-old student at Macquarie University currently studying a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Finance with a Statistics minor. I am a very enthusiastic tutor ready to help! I’m very passionate about pushing my fellow students to be the best version of themselves academically and I understand how students want to be taught in a one- to-one manner, and how to communicate complicated concepts in easy to understand terms (I can also make subjects previously thought to be boring very fun!). I always try to focus on a specific method of teaching after understanding how the student learns. In high school I didn’t think I had what it takes to get into university, I wasn’t the brightest kid and had no goal, it was then I decided to go to the University of Newcastle to study NewStep – a bridging course designed to help students get into university. During this course I discovered a passion for mathematics and business subjects after passing with high results, which is why I study what I study today, and I love it! I wouldn’t do anything different in my academic journey, as it taught me what my passion was, how I like to learn, and is why I tutor my fellow students. I believe I can help students understand not only the concepts and subjects, but themselves, plus we will have a fun time doing it!
