Student Tutors

Hi! My name is Eliza, and I’m from the Coffs Coast, currently studying a Bachelor of Secondary Education at the University of Newcastle. My main passion and pursuit is humanities; my major is ancient history and my minor is modern history. I tend to read anything I can get my hands on, love to obtain new knowledge of all sorts (even the trivial things) and have great enthusiasm for academic research. I know that my final years of secondary study would not have been nearly as successful without the support and the push provided by my teachers, so I hope to impart a little bit of their wisdom to those who need my help, and maybe even to nurture a love of the humanities in my students; or at the very least give them the confidence to be able to face the HSC with a steady hand. I am happy to cater for all sorts of different learners at all sorts of levels, and it is my goal to ensure that those who may be intimidated by a certain subject or individual aspect of education (like studying) will gain the tools with which to best approach these problems so that they can achieve outcomes to be proud of.
