Student Tutors

I’ve been an educator (of all ethnicities, walks of life and ages, from primary school students to university undergraduates and postgraduate teacher trainees), for over two decades. Having lived in a half dozen countries and travelled to a few more places, what strikes me about education is the great potential, freedom and opportunity it can release in the individual. The learning process is as important as any ultimate goals, as it encourages self-reflection and active engagement in the world we inhabit. I’m a strong believer in learning as discovery, and both self-empowerment yet also connection with others. Learning puts you in the driver’s seat of life but is also a shared journey. As a tutor, I will encourage and support you to not only try hard and do you best, but also actively participate in and enjoy exposure to interesting and useful knowledge, especially new ideas and creative ways of thinking. Whatever you study needs to be practiced, applied and continuously improved too, as "real world" skills and abilities. With some professional and focused guidance, error correction and suggestions along the way, I look forward to tutoring you.
