Student Tutors

Alicia completed her ACT Year 12 Certificate in 2014 achieving amazing results and this year will be beginning a Bachelor of Medical Science and Dr. of Medicine (Prev. Bachelor of Medicine) at the University of Newcastle. Alicia has been tutoring in various capacities both privately and through a company for groups ranging from one-on-one to 3 students at a time, since 2012 and have a real passion for helping students to gain confidence and interest in their studies. Alicia is aware that all students can have a unique learning style and way of approaching complex issues. Through applying this awareness, combined with her knowledge, understanding and formal training (from working at Questacon) of inquiry based learning she tailors each of her sessions to meet student's needs. Gradually providing them with the skills and support that they require to be effective independent learners. One of Alicia's favourite moments while tutoring is watching the 'a-ha' moment where a concept or problem that was not understood now falls into place and is able to be conquered.
